Ceiling Fans

Posted:

Do you know which direction your ceiling fan should turn for cooling? Modern fans have a switch that enables them to blow the air either up or down. For cooling, the fan should spin counter clockwise. A typical modern fan uses 30-90 watts of energy depending on the fan speed to operate. Many of us still have the original fans which seem to run forever. The problem, they use up to 500 watts of power to run. Don’t you think it might be time to change out that old fan?
